Born is is a text work and accompanying performance presented at the Art Gallery of South Australia in 2018 as part of Transcriptions curated by Gillian Brown, Rayleen Forester and Joanna Kitto.

The performance text consisted largely of words and phrases taken from gallery wall labels for the artworks located in the William Bowmore Gallery, Gallery 16 “Afterlife” of the Melrose Wing at the Art Gallery of South Australia.

These phrases were combined with descriptions of contemporary artworks dealing with death and dying, quotes from the gallery's benefactor William Bowmore, and my own autobiographical writing.
